“I don’t generally send emails out to restaurants after a meal, but I had to today… my family ate at Il Covo last night, capping off 4 days together that started with Andrea Bocelli in Vancouver. I am from Vancouver and have eaten at Il Giardino many times, and I have to say your restaurant definitely rivals the meals I’ve had there! Your restaurant is beautiful! Great service from the moment we arrived… our waiter was authentically friendly and knowledgeable, appetizers and mains were amazing! The waiter even took time out to come outside with us and take some photos for us. Your staff all worked seamlessly together, but at the same time looked they truly enjoyed their work and were having fun. Running a great restaurant is a symphony of many parts, and you pulled it off beautifully. Thank you very much for being such a beautiful part of our family weekend. We WILL be back!”

“Dear Il Covo,
I am writing here today to just inform you of the exceptional experience my wife and I experienced Thursday with your wonderful hostess Nikki.
We walked in just before 6PM and were greeted with a huge smile from Nikki. We asked if there would be a chance for a table inside around 6:30 and she politely informed us that they were full until 8:15-8:30 but could happily seat us at the bar counter offering dinner there as we felt it was too cold to sit outside that night. I let her know it was our 10th wedding anniversary that day and that we would rather sit at a table, so we decided to go ahead and make a reservation for Friday. Despite lots of people coming in and the phone ringing constantly, Nikki remained professional, apologizing for interruptions when she had to say hello to guests or put guests on hold on the phone. After she made our reservation she made suggestions of where to dine for our anniversary which was an added bonus as we had just arrived to Victoria. As we are walking back to our hotel and almost walking in the door, here comes Nikki running across the street saying excuse me to us and letting us know they just got a 6:00 reservation cancellation and asked if we would like it, we were blown away! It was meant to be, and what a wonderful kind gesture Nikki made rushing to get us and offer us first as I know there were other people behind us tryjng to walk in as well. We let her know we wanted to go up and change quickly but we would be right over. She ensure us that was fine and we had the table until 8:15PM.
My wife and I quickly changed and came over. Our dinner just got better with the exceptional service from Loretta. The food was absolutely to die far, the best we’ve ever had. The champagne toast when we sat down was a beautiful and kind gesture from your restaurant. We got to desert, sharing our desert platter, sharing our anniversary cards to one another and as I looked over seeing Nikki and the other hostess seating many people, organizing tables and setting tables, I couldn’t be more thankful that this entire beautiful 10th wedding anniversary dinner was made possible by Nikki, who went above and beyond service expectations and thought of us.
Thank you Il Covo for the most amazing wedding anniversary dinner, and thank your team for all that they do, from the hosts to the busses refilling our water glasses, the bartenders making our drinks, the servers waiting on us, the chefs cooking the meals, the managers managing and directing these well polished staff and the owners for inspiring and creating such a beautiful and authentic Italian experience.
We are forever grateful and will always remember our night at Il Covo.

“I wanted to send a thank you to you and your staff for the very special evening my niece and I spent on Saturday, April 8th as we enjoyed a fabulous dining experience. Your staff were all so welcoming and friendly as was our server, Silvio. He was attentive and always available with suggestions and with a smile. What a fabulous meal! We thoroughly enjoyed our four courses and have found a new favorite restaurant and look forward to returning to try other delicious dishes on your extensive menu. The atmosphere was so nice, with diners and staff all enjoying a very happy evening. Il Covo will be well recommended by both my niece and I. See you again soon!!! The entire evening from start to finish was absolutely wonderful. You have an amazing team of staff who are all very attentive, friendly and welcoming. Haydan was very knowledgeable and provided top notch service. My girlfriend worked in the service industry for many years and was blown away by our experience tonight.
